Friday, October 09, 2026
SpaceX has agreed to buy a nationwide block of low-band airwaves that could move Starlink Mobile from a dead-zone backup toward a direct rival for AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. On October 8, 2026, the company announced a deal to acquire Grain Management's entire nationwide 800 MHz license portfolio, which SpaceX describes as up to 14 megahertz of paired spectrum. Elon Musk shared the announcement on X that afternoon, calling it a "very big deal," and in a separate post he called the spectrum "the last critical piece of the spectrum puzzle" for complete phone coverage in America. Neither company disclosed a price, although Reuters, citing The Wall Street Journal, reported that SpaceX will pay about $8 billion in cash. The sale still needs FCC approval.... Read More

Windows 11 2026 Update Arrives as a Quick Install

Monday, October 05, 2026
Microsoft announced the Windows 11 2026 Update, also known as Windows 11 version 26H2, on September 29, 2026, and for eligible PCs already running versions 24H2 or 25H2 the path forward is refreshingly light. Microsoft is delivering 26H2 as a small enablement package that activates features already present through monthly servicing on a shared codebase, so the download stays modest, the install feels closer to a monthly update than a rebuild, and the device needs only a single restart to finish the move....
